About Me
I am an Applied Scientist at Amazon. I received my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the Ohio State University (OSU) in August 2020, under the guidance of Prof. Srinivasan Parthasarathy. I have interned at Amazon, Adobe Research, Nokia Bell Labs (Ireland), and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay). My research interests lie in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval and Social Computing. In particular, I am interested in:
- LLMs, NLP, NLU and NLG: Solving problems involving natural language processing, understanding and generation techniques such as intent discovery, summarization, fact checking and question answering.
- Conversational AI: This includes generating effective and natural sounding responses for dialogue systems, and assessing conversation quality.
- Knowledge Representation and Reasoning: Extracting, interpreting and transforming web or digital content into structured knowledge representations for various downstream applications such as question answering, search and recommendation.
- Human Behavior Understanding: Obtaining and analyzing user behavior characteristics from heterogeneous data sources for interdisciplinary applications such as public health, shopping and marketing.
